To Chuito the apartment was a self-imposed prison for a lifetime of sins. To Alaine, the girl next door, it was salivation from her overbearing, religious father.
He was a devil.
She was an angel.
Two people who should’ve never met, let alone become friends, but it’s not until they give in to the dangerous passion that’s been simmering under the surface for five years that things go to hell.
On the outside, Chuito “The Slayer” Garcia in on top of the world. He’s successful. He’s wealthy. He's a champion MMA fighter surrounded by friends who support him, but they don’t know what he was before he came to Garnet.
A gangster.
A thief.
An addict.
A murderer.
Now his past is churning up demons he can’t ignore. Chuito knows he needs to go back to Miami to end it, but there's something holding him back, a single temptation he can't resist before leaving.
Alaine.
She’s the one drug he can’t give up…even if it destroys them both.
“To me you’re coke. Fine. Smooth. Perfectly white. Very bad for me, but so sexy I don’t care. It’s worth going down for.” --Chuito Garcia

This is, by far, one of the best books I have ever read! It has a perfect mix of drama and humor, crazy as hell, but oh so enjoyable to read. It was hard to pick a favorite character because they all play off of one another so well. For me, many LOL moments, but yet when the boys get down seriously, they are dangerous!Loved Nova, Tino, Marco, Chuito, especially Chuito and Tino. It was such a good book, I would champion Amazon changing their rating system. Giving the book five stars is not enough! Definitely a book above five stars, mostly because of the mix of laughter and danger. I loved the cultural mix, the intensity of the characters, and the entire theme.
I took a chance on this book because I seldom read books with covers o
I took a chance on book 1 (Viper) because it was on sale, which is a very good book. Hence, I opt to buy this book, after reading Book 1 because it was so good. Did not regret it! A big surprise! And, I've read this book twice!
Again, one of the best! Take a chance and buy it! You'll love it! Great mix of the underworld, the Puerto Rican side and the Italians, which in itself, is a challenging theme. Well written! Kudos to the author!

The Slayer Untamed Hearts Book 2 edition by Kele Moon Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
4.5 This story was...different, in a good way. There was everything in there, suspense, tears, love, humor, sweetness. There was also ALOT of detail. Like seriously, it probably could of been like 100 pages shorter minus the details in some spots, BUT even the pages of details, and/or inner dialogue were interesting.
The H, Chu was so captivating. He had a heart of gold, but hated himself beyond reason. He carried so much hurt and anger towards himself. Especially when he would literally risk his life for those he cared about. He wasn't exactly an antihero, nor was he an a-hole H. He loved the h, and needed her. But once he was committed to something there was no changing that, and he was committed to not corrupting the h who was madly in love with him. They ended up neighbors and she basically forced herself into his life. They were direct opposites. She a naive, kind, preachers daughter, who left her fathers cluthches so she could live the life she wanted, and not the life he(her father) wanted. The H a sorta reformed Latino thug trying to temporarily do something different with his life after so much tragedy in his hometown in Miami. Where he was rough around the edges, she was refined and loving. They were a perfect balance. Becoming each others everything over the years, he knew she loved him, and he felt the same but he just couldn't do that to her.
What I liked that was different from most self deprecating H's I've read, was that there wasn't the back and forth. The constant inner dialogue about how much he loves her, but she deserves better. He knew who he was, what he was and hated himself for it, and insisted the h get over him. Outside there love story, which if I'm honest only accounted for about 65-70% of the story IMO. Which was okay cause it totally made sense, and you don't feel like you're missing out.
There was A LOT going on. So much so, I literally can't even begin to go into it. There were latino gangs, mafias, vendetta's. Loyalty so strong it can bring tears to your eyes. Endearing moments that make you smile. Moments that make you LOL. My new favorite side character of all time has to go to Tino. I hope his story is next. He was absolutely hilarious. He came off as a sweet kid, but was a very grown, very dangerous mafia hit man. I loved him and Chu together. The h was very likeable too. Her loyalty to the H above all else was refreshing. Refreshing because there was no back and forth, there were no doubts among them. One thing was solid. They loved one another, the only thing up debate was what to do with that love. The H wanted to save her life by not getting involved with her, but once that line was crossed there was no other options for them.
The story wasn't predictable, it was unique in it's approach. Even down to the H's young mother, who I still feel some way about. She wasn't glorified to fit a mode of the perfect mom. She was controversial in a lot of ways, but then you consider she was VERY young when she had the H, she lived through a lot, grew up in "the hood"and it helps you understand her. She loved her son fiercely, and was kind but she was very much a product of her environment. Just like any real life minority you know who has lived the life she has. I loved the realness of it all..
From the Untamed Hearts Series Kele Moon delivers a heart stopping roller coaster ride with The Slayer. Chuito, an ex-gang member of a notorious Miami street gang moves to small town Garnet after his cousin gets sent to prison trying to start a new life as a multi title winning MMA fighter. What he didn’t expect was Alaine, his sweet, beautiful and a bit naive neighbor. Alaine is trying to cut the strings to her controlling pastor father while secretly lusting after Chuito who has become her closest friend and refuses to pollute her with his darkness by becoming more. These two play the friend game for no less than five freaking years! Then when Chuito finds out Alaine may not be as unsullied as he thought they become romantic only to have Chuito disappear back to Miami on some noble suicide mission. Alaine along with Chuito’s best friend and most feared Mafia enforcer Tino race to Miami to prevent him from sacrificing himself to make up for past guilt. Things get very serious after they intercept Chu and hole up in an abandoned house staking out a gang warehouse. Lots of low lifes die, Chuito and Alaine come out married, and the stage has been set for the third installment in the series. I loved this book! Steamy and action packed Kele Moon really delivers a depth of character that unavoidably draws you in.
