Another awesome read by B.M. Hardin! This book literally kept me up all night! I tried to put my kindle dowm so many times, but I couldn't help but finish it! The main charcter, Skilar takes you on one hell of a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. All of the secrets, lies, and drama involving the Parks family kept me on the edge of my seat! The Wrong Shade of Lipstick, and all of Ms. Hardin's novels are like a breath of fresh air. I'm an avid reader, and truly appreciate that all of her novels are complete works, and not endless parts of a series. She has a way of writing that captures the reader and makes you feel the emotions of each character. I especially love the inspirational quotes the author leaves at the end of each chapter of her books. Thank you B.M. Hardin for another jaw-dropping and wonderful read! I truly enjoyed reading this story! I'm a big fan of B.M. Hardin, so I decided to look up the books by her that I haven't read. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed! I had no idea where this story was going,and I LOVE that in a book. Once again I commend B.M. Hardin for taking me on a crazy, drama-filled journey
I read the book, the Janes by this author and loved it, so I was excited to read this book, after all the 5 star reviews, but I thought this book was boring, you got a few little twist in the middle and end, but not nothing to write home about, alot of past times experiences, that really could be skipped.

It's as though this author has a theme. I've read another book of hers and I swear it's the very same concept. Mental deficits and everyone around them goes along with the ill persons perceptions. And then the mentally ill person gets married to the person they kept pushing away.
It really was a decent story but because the author is redundant in her themes I give it 2 stars.
The Wrong Shade of Lipstick by BM Hardin is a fast paced roller coaster ride that will leave you breathless. Follow her main character Skilar through some intense moments in time, where you can actually feel what she is experiencing as well as cry out for her. Charlotte is the sister, who seems to be in the shadows, but oh what a tangle web these sisters are spinning. And let's not leave out mother love, she has some skeletons in her closet that will raise the dead!
You will not be able to put this down, trust me. I love me some B.M Hardin and I can't wait to read what's up next. Recommended for readers of all genres.

This was my first book by Ms Hardin but it definitely won't be my last! The plot of this book is vicious! There are so many twists and turns that it's ridiculous. It's a drama queens dream.I LOVED it and HIGHLY recommend it. I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster but the main character, Ski, held my hand and got me through it. Every time I thought it was going to slow down and mellow out for a while - BOOM something completely unexpected happened to send my pulse through the roof again. I want to emphasize that the flow in this book was excellent. I did feel the end was a bit rushed but at that point I wanted so badly to know how it was going to end. Yet, at the same time I didn't want it to end. In fact, I read and re-read certain parts looking for a slip in the plot or a mistake but Ms. Hardin is on top of her game. (Once you read the book, you'll understand why I said that). I can definitely appreciate the thought, creativity and research that went into this book.
I did notice some grammatical errors but they do not take anything away from the story. At no point did I not understand what was intended. The thing I liked most about the book was that it kept me guessing. By the time I got to the last chapter, I knew to expect the unexpected and I still couldn't guess how it was going to end. If it were up to me, I'd take this book to the big screen.
In closing, If I had to sum this book up in one word, it would be WOW.

"The Wrong Shade of Lipstick" by B.M. Hardin was another one of this author's hits. This novel is simply off the chart being that its such a wonderful good read that once you start reading it will be hard to put down until the end. This author really knows how to give the reader so many twist and turns...when you think you have it figured out no, you will be turn another direction and leaving you saying Wow...I didn't see that coming! "The Wrong Shade of Lipstick" was about Skilar Parks who 'constantly found struggling to find her own identity.' Will she be able to find it? What secrets will come out that will bring it all out in the light? Who will Skilar turn to trust her secrets? How ever, due to many of Skilar's indiscretions well, only to leave you left saying what in the world is going on with this 'local preacher's daughter' you must pick up "The Wrong Shade of Lipstick." It definitely left me say wow what a read that had some real twists in it. I don't want to give any of it away only say I don't think you will be disappointed with the read and yes, I would recommend this novel to you.
I'm not sure what I just read. I knew this book was crazy, but goodness. I guess I don't understand people with schizophrenia and multiple personalities disorder. Didn't know if she was telling the truth or being accurate about things, or delusional. And skipping all over the place as far as time-wise. Kudos to her for being able to get not 1 but 2 men to marry her. I feel sorry for the unborn child if it inherits her mental illnesses. Frightening. The book he a few editing mistakes. Three stars because I did not enjoy this read at all.
